On Billboard’s Top Christian charts this week, we note the ten best Christian songs in the land are topped by tobyMAC, who makes it two weeks at #1 with Get Back Up, the second single off Tonight, his new CD. Most of the Top 10 remain unchanged, save for Casting Crowns, which enters the top 10, 12-8, after an increase in radio airplay. (Funny it should make this jump after I said last week that I doubted its chances.)

If I had to recommend one Christian power ballad for this year, I would recommend The Museum’s MY HELP COMES FROM THE LORD. I don’t say that lightly. Please listen to MY HELP COMES FROM THE LORD, and read the bio (links to both available after the jump). I definitely am a convert; I will definitely buy the album; I will definitely support the band online. If there’s one debut artist I’d recommend for the first half of this year, I would wholeheartedly and unabashedly recommend The [M]useum (yes, that’s apparently how they spell it). These guys are the real deal.
If you haven’t heard of Beckah Shae, well, all that may be about to change, because Beckah Shae is HOT. Her new single, LIFE, is picking up at Christian CHR radio so fast, we’re getting windburn. One of the most added songs at CHR radio AND the Greatest Airplay Gainer for the week, LIFE has gotten Beckah not-undeserved comparisons to artist du jour Lady Gaga. I’m not surprised: the song’s infectious sing-along chorus, persistent bassline, and upbeat sound can really ring some Gaga bells.
