Billboard Top Christian Songs – April 28, 2012

Wow, two months in a row now for for Building 429’s Where I Belong on Billboard’s Christian Songs chart. I honestly never expected to see this song do so well; I think I can safely say I am no longer in the demographic of Christian AC. LOL New to the top 10 is Lead Me by newly crowned Best New Artist at the 2012 Dove Awards, Jamie Grace; it’s her second Top 10 hit (Hold Me, featuring TobyMac, peaked at #3 last year).

So that means Overcome by Jeremy Camp can’t quite live up to its name; it’s been at #2 for more than a month now. Top debut honors this week go to is KJ-52’s Dangerous at #44, the second straight week that a rap song has top debut honors; the Greatest Gainer is the oh-so-svelte (pictured!) Mandisa’s Good Morning, up 10 from #37 to #27. (YAY!)
