Lauren Daigle, “O Lord”

Contemporary Christian singer and Dove Award winner Lauren Daigle has released O Lord from her debut release, How Can It Be. Written by Joe Williams and Paul Mabury, O Lord is remarkable, not just for its declaration of faith in a God Who will deliver His children from their valley seasons, but for its chart performance. The song is the fifth single from How Can It Be, which was released in April 2015. Five singles from a Contemporary Christian album is virtually unheard of, and for an old song to perform so phenomenally (No. 7 on the Dec 2 Billboard Christian Songs chart, after 20 weeks), is remarkable.

O LORD Lyrics
Lauren Daigle

Though times it seems
Like I’m coming undone
This walk can often feel lonely
No matter what until this race is won
I will stand my ground where hope can be found
I will stand my ground where hope can be found

O Lord
O Lord I know You hear my cry
Your love is lifting me above all the lies
No matter what I face this I know in time
You’ll take all that is wrong and make it right
You’ll take all that is wrong and make it right

Your strength is found
At the end of my road
Your grace it reaches to the hurting
Still through the tears and the questioning why
I will stand my ground where hope can be found
I will stand my ground where hope can be found

O Lord
O Lord I know You hear my cry
Your love is lifting me above all the lies
No matter what I face this I know in time
You’ll take all that is wrong and make it right
You’ll take all that is wrong and make it right

(Right, so right)
Make it right
(Right, so right)
Make it right, right

I will stand my ground
I will stand my ground
I will stand my ground where hope can be found
I will stand my ground where hope can be found
O Lord
O Lord I know You hear my cry
Your love is lifting me above all the lies
No matter what I face this I know in time
You’ll take all that is wrong and make it right
You’ll take all that is wrong and make it right

(Right, so right)
Make it right
(Right, so right)
Make it right, right
