Philippine worship team Victory Worship has released its new single. Titled Safe, this worship anthem was penned by Victory Worship leader Lee Brown with Filipina songwriter Moira dela Torre, Every Nation songwriter Justin Gray, and Winans Phase 2 member Juan Winans.
A touching song about how God is our refuge and fortress, Safe may have been based on Psalm 91:1-2, which reads, “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
I feel very strongly about the ministering power of Victory Worship’s Safe. That verse melody is one of the strongest I’ve heard, and its positive, encouraging message is absolutely irresistible. I am confident that it will speak to many, many people, and be a great tool for us to share the gospel.
