Matt Maher has released the lyric video for “Because He Lives (Amen),” an anthemic song of declaration in the saving power of Christ. A reworking of the traditional hymn, there is something special about Because He Lives (Amen). Whether it’s the moving instrumentation work, or the simple yet powerful declaration of “Amen”–sung as AH-men, not the traditional AY-men– that makes it particularly moving and effective. The fact that it’s been the most-added song at Christian AC for the past two weeks, I think, is proof of the quality of this track. It may very well be Maher’s latest Top 10 hit.
