Canadian singer/songwriter Dan Bremnes has released his first single under Capitol Christian Music Group – I used to know ’em as Sparrow Records – and Beautiful is every bit as gorgeous as its title suggests.
David Garcia and Ben Glover, between themselves responsible for many hit singles by artists like TobyMac, Mandisa, Colton Dixon, MercyMe, and For King and Country, produced Beautiful, and as early as now, it is picking up deliciously at radio. Bremnes’ introspective lyrics and memorable voice, coupled with CCMG’s marketing savvy and push, make him an easily likeable addition to the growing roster of successful Contemporary Christian singer/songwriters, including labelmate Matthew West, Chris August, Brandon Heath, and Steven Curtis Chapman, with whom he is touring this fall in the USA.
I like Beautiful. It’s easily singable and relatable, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Bremnes would be brandishing his first Top 10 hit in a matter of weeks.
