Recently, two young Norwegians recently posted a picture on Facebook, in which Peter, the guy, held up a sign that said, “Cathrine says that if I can get 1M “Likes,” she will have sex with me. Please share and like.”
Less than two days later, the photo has received 1.3million likes.
I think it’s safe to say that Peter thinks his peter is in for a treat. But is it really? After all, why shouldn’t two people in the throes of youthful passion stop themselves from enjoying each other’s, um, company?
I’m no sexpert – actually I think I kinda am, but whatever – but if I were in a commitment with someone else, well, Christian or not, I wouldn’t want to share her without anyone else. Even if faith played no role here, looking from a strictly secular point of view, I’m not sure I could deal with the implications of a purely sexual relationship with someone.
But that’s just me. Some people can do it easily with any Tom, Dick, or Harry, but I’d have difficulty doing so. Is sex nowadays with someone who isn’t your spouse… that easy?
“So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.” 2 Timothy 2:2
“Let your fountain be blessed, and rejoice in the wife of your youth, a lovely deer, a graceful doe. Let her breasts fill you at all times with delight; be intoxicated always in her love.” Proverbs 5:18-19
