Contemporary Christian pop-rock band Rush of Fools, who scored a #1 hit back in the day with Undo, has released Beginning to End, the carrier single of its new album We Once We’re. Beginning to End is instantly likeable; its steady tempo and passionate delivery provide a somewhat ironic underscoring of its message, which is essentially a declaration of God’s power and majesty. While not as instantly catchy as Undo or the follow-up single, Never Look Away, there is a power about Beginning to End that isn’t quite there in the previous singles released.
BEGINNING TO END Lyrics
Rush of Fools
Nothing was created
Not a mountain or the ocean
But You were there
Before there was a heaven
You were bound to nothing
But You were there
Now your glory has opened up the skies
From beginning to end
God You reign
You reign
Over time and space You stand
But You remain sovereign over all
No one could have formed You
Although many hands have tried to
I was there
No one had to save You
You alone have stayed true,
I was there
You’re the one who opened up my eyes
From beginning to end
God You reign
You reign
Over time and space You stand
But You remain sovereign
Over all the things I can’t control
And all the dreams I’ve tried to hold
And all the times I’m losing hope
You’re never letting go
From beginning to end, God you reign, You reign
Over time and space You stand, but You remain
From beginning to end, God You reign, You reign
Over time and space you stand
But You remain sovereign over all
Sovereign over all
You’re sovereign over all
