My latest original a capella composition, Sweet Life, started out originally as a potential piece for a 16-year-old singer who released her debut EP earlier this month. When we talked, I said, “I’ll write you a song about chocolate.” So that’s what I set out to do. Then, I thought, why not compare a relationship to sweets like chocolate? So I set out with that in mind, but as I worked on it more, it started to evolve… towards the somewhat naughty side. Obviously, I couldn’t give this to said singer any longer because it no longer suited her musical style. So I turned it into an a capella track, and this is the result. What do you think? :)
