Top Christian Songs (Billboard) – October 29, 2011

Contemporary Christian supergroup MercyMe stays at #1 for an impressive nine weeks atop the Billboard Christian Songs chart with Move. Last week’s Greatest Gainer, though, Courageous by Casting Crowns, inches up 3-2 this week and is Greatest Gainer again. It will most likely be #1 in a couple of weeks, which is fantastic because it’s an amazing song, but I’m also a little saddened that Strong Enough by Matthew West won’t go to #1 here (a consolation is that it was #1 on Radio and Records’ AC chart for three weeks). Natalie Grant (pictured) secures top debut honors this week with Alive (#45), leading a slew of debuts, including Family Force 5 (Not Alone, #47), TobyMac (Changed Forever, #48), and Jaci Velasquez (Give Them Jesus, #49).
