Pop/rock band Samestate has released its debut EP, Samestate, on Sparrow Records. A four-song collection that features the catchy first single, Hurricane, Samestate is available on digital formats. Dalton, Darren, Ryan, Raymond, and Blake, who hail from Kansas City – wow, following AbandonKansas? – are inspired by DC*B and Death Cab for Cutie, so the quality of the sound is certainly topnotch. I’ve embedded an acoustic version of Samestate’s Hurricane so you can also see how good they are in an acoustic setting. According to Sparrow, the debut CD, The Alignment, will drop in early 2012.
