Contemporary Christian singer/songwriter Jason Gray, who scored a Top 10 Soft AC/Inspo hit with I Am New earlier this year, has released Remind Me Who I Am, a decidedly faster track, as the carrier single of his new CD, A Way to See in the Dark, dropping across the United States on September 13. Thank God for Centricity Records, who is just releasing great artists left and right – Jaime Jamgochian, anybody? – for bringing musicians like Jason Gray to us.
What makes Remind Me Who I Am such a winner is its lyrical accessibility and Biblical foundation. Who among us hasn’t felt at many points in our lives that we are the children of the King? When Gray sings “I’m the one You love, that will be enough” in Remind Me Who I Am‘s bridge, it sends shivers down my spine. We certainly get more than we pay for with Jason’s passionate delivery and sheer beauty of the song’s melody and message. I also have to give a heads-up to the folks who made the lyrics video; what a creative and fun way to promote a new song!

You can also purchase the single on iTunes. (As always, a disclaimer: I don’t get paid a cent to promote Mr. Gray or his single, nor am I affiliated with him or Centricity Records.)
REMIND ME WHO I AM Lyrics
Jason Gray
When I lose my way
When I forget my name
Remind me who I am
In the mirror all I see
is who I don’t wanna be
Remind me who I am
In the loneliest places
When I can’t remember what grace is
Tell me once again who I am to You
Who I am to You
Tell me
Lest I forget who I am to You
I belong to You
To You
When my heart is like a stone
and I’m running far from home
Remind me who I am
When I can’t receive Your love
Afraid I’ll never be enough
Remind me who I am
If I’m Your beloved
Can You help me believe it
Tell me once again who I am to You
Who I am to You
Tell me
Lest I forget who I am to You
I belong to You
To You
I’m the one You love
I’m the one You love
That will be enough
I’m the one You love
Tell me once again who I am to You
Who I am to You
Tell me
Lest I forget who I am to You
That I belong to You
Whoa
Tell me once again who I am to You
Who I am to You
Tell me
Lest I forget who I am to You
That I belong to You
To You
To You
