Contemporary Christian superstar band Third Day is back! The new Third Day album Move(Essential Records Sony/BMG) is scheduled to drop October 14 in stores across the nation. The carrier single, Lift Up Your Face, is a real stomper of a song, something I’m not really accustomed to hearing from Third Day, but I think it’ll grow on me faster than I’m used to. I like the tempo and the Lift Up Your Face lyrics, which encourages the reader to hold on because God is coming for you… in a good way. “Salvation is on its way,” Mac Powell growls in this live performance at the Joyful Noise Family Festival in Blaine, Minnesota; he acknowledges that LIft Up Your Face is envisioned as an encouraging praise song for churches.”
I loved Call My Name, and based on what I’m hearing, I may very well like Lift Up Your Face. According to the band’s Twitter account, the studio version features the Blind Boys of Alabama, which psyches me up even more.
