Super Junior Live in Manila on April 10

Super Junior live in Manila?! Ack! Na mi chyuh gan da!

Superstar Korean group Super Junior is coming to Manila, thanks to Pulp Live in association with Happee and Apple Sy. This is RIDICULOUS. It’s like God heard every prayer and desire of my heart last year and lifted it up. 2010 is going to be LEGENDARY! Super Junior live in Manila?! The Super Show 2, right here on our local shores? I never would’ve believed it. God is GOOD.

There is a Facebook page for Super Junior Live in Manila, where one can get updates, see seat prices, reserve seats, etc. The buzz right now is that the Super V.I.P. tickets – which retail for Php8,000 a ticket, my goodness – come with freebies and “extra privileges.” If “extra privileges” mean a “meet-and-greet” with the band, and the price differential isn’t so great, then it’s a no-brainer. SUPER V.I.P. NA!!! lol

Super Junior is a super Korean group, a member of KPop royalty. Locally, Super Junior’s “Sorry Sorry” CD went gold, and is one of the Top 25 best-selling CDs for 2009. On my personal chart, they’ve had three number one hits (“Sorry Sorry” under Super Junior, and “Cooking Cooking” and “Pajama Party” under their subgroup Super Junior Happy). A fourth track, “Sorry Sorry Answer,” is now in the Top 10 (and after this news, I’m pretty sure it’ll go to #1, haha). I can’t begin to explain to you how excited my wife and I are for this concert.

2010 looks to be extremely, extremely promising. Aside from Super Junior and the Backstreet Boys, word on the street says we may see New Kids on the Block (I think I just heard my wife scream from her mother’s house) and Tina Arena. I also saw a poster for Etude House, the Korean fashion store, which my inner KPop spider sense tells me we can expect either Gu Jun Pyo dude from “Boys Over Flowers” or that other guy, Jang Geun-suk from “You’re Beautiful,” to visit Manila to help promote the store. Either guy will send my wife into a tailspin, and bodes well for me if I want my own fashion statements to head in that direction. If SS501 makes its way to Philippine soil this year, that’ll complete a hat trick of KPop joy for us.

Super Junior Live in Manila. I can’t believe it.

p.s. Siwon is Christian. Just sayin’.
