Contemporary Christian singer/songwriter Francesca Battistelli has released Giants Fall from the deluxe edition of her latest album, If We’re Honest. The legs of this album are absolutely incredible. After birthing four straight Top 10 hits–Write Your Story, He Knows My Name, Holy Spirit, and If We’re Honest, there’s a fifth single off the album, and it’s just as good as the previous four, showcasing Battistelli’s immense writing talent and the sheer quality of this album (which was rightfully nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album, but unfortunately lost to the equally delicious Run Wild. Giants Fall is an inspiring mid-tempo praise party jam that reminds us that with God, anything is possible. Immediately catchy and delightfully easy to sing–the mark of great songs–Giants Fall also boasts of a melody that will not quit. The lyric video takes inspiration from the story of young world-changer Mallory Fundora, who is serving the poor youth of Uganda. What an incredible story to boot; Battistelli is not averse to sharing these life stories, these testimonies of God’s goodness, and it’s handled in a respectful way that doesn’t sideline the story and leave the song empty-handed.
Altogether, another brilliant effort from the equally brilliant Battistelli.
