Contemporary Christian vocal group Selah has earned a new Top 10 hit on Christian Soft AC/Inspo with Hope of the Broken World, off the album of the same title, out August 23rd on Curb Music. The song moves up the Soft AC chart 8-7 this week, but registers the second-highest increase in airplay of all songs this week. I watched the video embedded below, in which Selah’s Todd Smith interviews Hope of the Broken World songwriters Carl Cartee and Jennie Riddle, and I was so blessed by it. Selah really knows how to interpret the heart of a song, and from the snippets I got about Hope of The Broken World on this video, I’m sure this single will be no different.
If Hope of the Broken World were available right now on iTunes, I’d get it, but since it apparently isn’t yet, and there are no local Christian radio stations here in Manila that get songs this early, we’ll just have to enjoy this video for the meantime. Mark my words, Hope of the Broken World is an almost guaranteed #1 (as I predicted Laura Story’s Blessings would be.)
