Royal Tailor, “Hold Me Together”

Royal Tailor, “Hold Me Together”

Contemporary Christian foursome Royal Tailor’s Hold Me Together is one of the catchiest Christian singles I’ve heard in a long time. Hold Me Together doesn’t sound like anything I’ve heard on Christian AC – one of the purest male vocals I’ve ever heard, an irresistible choral hook, earnest and heartfelt lyrics… I don’t usually feel this strongly about debut singles from debut artists, but Hold Me Together is definitely an exception. What a wonderful, catchy song!

In Hold Me Together, Royal Tailor’s Tauren Wells, Jarrod Ingram, DJ Cox, and Blake Hubbard have crafted up an irresistible acoustic pop-soul Christian song that deserves full props across Christian AC and Soft AC/Inspo. Lifted off the vocal group’s upcoming major label debut, Black and White, Hold Me Together excites me no end. The band’s sound is so current, and the look of the foursome so fresh, that I’m sure their music will speak across races and faiths; I believe God will use Royal Tailor to bring the message to many who would otherwise be closed to the sound that much of Christian music has to offer.

In the official bio released by the band’s label, the group says their music’s overarching message is “a call to action… A lot of our songs have to do with being Christ in the world. We want to create a culture where students are doing the ministry. They are creating the ideas. They are dreaming the dream, and then they are actually going out there and doing those things.” I am very, very excited about Royal Tailor, everyone, and strongly recommend you give them a listen. These guys are going places. Learn more about Royal Tailor here.

Hello Mercy
I have been searching for You lately
I’ve been wounded and from what I hear
You have the remedy

They told me You would be there for me
So now I need to know
Is this a love that can save me
Or say You will then don’t
Will You stay with me when nobody is around
If this is real, then tell me now

Can You hold me together
Can Your love reach down this far
Can You hold me together
‘Cause without You holding my heart
I’m falling apart
Falling apart

Saying so long, been lost, been gone
Not sure what to pray
It’s not easy but I know You see me
When I lose my way

I keep on floating not knowing
If there is more for me
Don’t want to sink beneath waves of negativity
I’m going under
I’m afraid that I might drown
If this is real, I need you now

Can You hold me together
Can Your love reach down this far
Can You hold me together
‘Cause without You holding my heart
I’m falling apart, yeah
Falling apart
Oh, Lord

I’m feeling stronger
With You by my side
And I realize You are my hope
I need to know

Can You hold me together
Can Your love reach down this far
Can You hold me together
‘Cause without You holding my heart
I’m falling apart,
Falling apart, yeah
Hold me together Lord

Without You,
I’m falling apart
Falling apart
