Worship leader and Contemporary Christian recording artist Kristian Stanfill has released Always off his terrific new CD, Mountains Move. I love “my help comes from the Lord” songs, and Always is right up there with the best of them! It has that anthemic singalong quality that we’ve come to expect from sixsteprecords artists; the folks from Passion really know how to make ’em. Plus, Stanfill co-wrote Always with hot Christian producer Jason Ingram, so lo and behold, here’s a Kristian Stanfill song that should finally get the man a much-deserved, way-too-belated Top 20 hit on Christian AC radio. I really thought Day By Day would do it, but that single sputtered at mid-20s, if memory serves me correctly. Given the success of “reliance on God” songs like The Museum’s My Help Comes From the Lord, Kristian Stanfill’s Always shouldn’t have much difficulty rising to the heights it deserves to reach.
