Revisiting “Set Apart”
In 2008, I wrote a song titled Set Apart for Uncommon, a message series of Victory Fort Bonifacio, the church in the Philippines for which I work. When it was sung in church, it was transformed into a praise anthem instead of the mid-tempo pseudo-ballad I’d imagined it to be. Almost two years since, I realize the original demo of Set Apart doesn’t sound that dated, praise God. A few months afterward, I played around with GarageBand and made a remix of the track.
