Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you one of the most decadent sandwiches known to Western civilisation: the Luther Burger.
So-named because it was supposed to be the favourite sandwich of acclaimed R&B singer Luther Vandross, the Luther Burger is food porn at its most obscene.
The picture you see on the left, as a matter of fact, is how I put it together in less than a minute. This is the fastest way to get the fix: buy ready-made ingredients and materials, and assemble the burger in the quickest way possible, in order to enjoy it in the most indulgent way possible.
So if you like what you see, and you’d like to replicate it in your own home, here’s the easy-peasy way that I went about it.
One-Minute Luther Burger
One Jollibee Cheesy Bacon Mushroom Yum (this picture featured the Champ version, which, quite honestly, is an embarrassment of riches)
One Krispy Kreme Amazing Glaze original glazed donut, two if you’re feeling nasty)
Doritos Cheese Sauce, to personal preference
1. Cut the donut in half. Slather cheese sauce on the bottom half.
2. Remove the bacon and burger patty from the rest of the bun. Place it on top of the bottom half of the donut.
3. Top with the other half of the donut. Enjoy.
I’m sorry, were you expecting the burger to be made from scratch? *grin* Sure thing! I actually have a fantastic burger patty recipe, but I haven’t made it lately. Once I do, I’ll update this post!
