Billboard Hot Christian Songs (December 27, 2014)

Craig-Wayne-Boyd-The-Old-Rugged-Cross-VideoCountry superstar Carrie Underwood, who blasted onto the Hot Country Albums chart at No.1 and the Billboard 200 at No.4 with her best-of album, Greatest Hits: Decade #1, earns her eleventh week at No.1 on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart with Something in the Water, the carrier single off the double-disc release, fending off Craig Wayne Boyd, freshly crowned winner of The Voice, whose take on Alan Jackson’s The Old Rugged Cross explodes at No.2, knocking off perennial chart-topper Oceans by Hillsong United to its lowest position in a year, No.3. LOL

It’s a good week for Underwood, who also has two other songs in the Top 15: How Great Thou Art a duet with fellow country superstar Vince Gill, new at No.12, and All is Well, which features her in a duet with Christian singer Michael W. Smith, down 9 notches to No.15.

Also new to the Top 10 is former American Idol semifinalist Lauren Daigle, whose How Can It Be lands strongly at No.7 in its debut week on the chart.
