Contemporary Christian pop/rock singer Beckah Shae can sing the phone book.
The R&B singer has released quite a variety of songs spanning a wide range of genres over the course of her career. She’s done Lady Gaga-esque dance with Life; she’s done rock/rap with tobyMac on Funky Jesus Music; she’s done an acoustic worship turn with Your Presence, and on her 2013 release, Incorruptible, it looks like she’s dipping her talented fingers into dubstep.
The awesome thing about Incorruptible is that it shows that Shae isn’t afraid to take risks, and Incorruptible will speak to a particular target market and expand her fan base. Personally, I’m not a fan of dubstep, and in my opinion, Incorruptible doesn’t showcase the amazing things that Shae can do with her God-given voice. However, it’s gaining airplay though at CHR stations, so I may be in the minority.
