After a solitary week atop the Billboard Christian Songs chart, Third Day’s I Need a Miracle slips 1-2, as Passion’s One Thing Remains rockets up 4-1 this week. It is the worship outfit’s first number one, as well as the first chart-topper for featured vocalist, sixsteps artist Kristian Stanfill. It also beats the Top 3 finish of the previous Passion single, White Flag, which featured Chris Tomlin.
Tomlin shouldn’t feel bad about, though, because his latest single, Whom Shall I Fear (God of Angel Armies), is a new entry to the top 10, rising halfway up the chart, 11-6.
I, for one, am ecstatic because Mark Schultz’s All Things Possible rises up 13-10 this week, earning Mark his first Top 10 hit on the big chart since 2009’s He Is. I’m thrilled beyond words!
Meanwhile, the Hotshot Debut this week is Jason Gray’s Joy to the World, leading a slew of new Christmas songs into the chart. Greatest Gainer is Steven Curtis Chapman’s Christmas Time Again.
