Contemporary Christian pop-rock band Third Day has returned with its comeback single, I Need a Miracle, and the single is fantastic!
I’m so excited for I Need a Miracle! First of all, I Need a Miracle‘s lyrics are truly ministering, and Mac Powell has never sounded more confident and strong. It’s almost like the voice of God Himself singing to us, encouraging us and telling us we are not alone, and that God hears and listens to us. The melody is instantly accessible and very catchy, and it’s about time Third Day released something new – especially since Casting Crowns seems to have worn out its latest CD for radio singles – and I Need a Miracle may be just what the doctor ordered.
I Need a Miracle is arguably the most radio-friendly carrier single that Third Day has ever released to date. Given how competitive the Contemporary Christian AC marketplace is right now, I Need a Miracle is the perfect song to reintroduce Third Day to the Contemporary Christian marketplace. I Need a Miracle is the carrier single off the album of the same title – methinks, based on the end of the I Need a Miracle lyrics video – that drops on November 6, and this time, I may get it straight off the bat! Great song, Third Day!
I NEED A MIRACLE Lyrics
Third Day
Well, late one night, she started to cry and thought he ain’t coming home
She was tired of the lies, tired of the fight, but she didn’t want to see him go
She fell on her knees and said, “I haven’t prayed since I was young
But Lord above I need a miracle”
Well no matter who you are and no matter what you’ve done
There will come a time when you can’t make it on your own
And in your hour of desperation
Know you’re not the only one, praying
Lord above, I need a miracle
I need a miracle
He lost his job and all he had in the fall of ’09
Now he feared the worst, that he would lose his children and his wife
So he drove down deep into the woods and thought he’d end it all
And prayed, “Lord above, I need a miracle”
Well no matter who you are and no matter what you’ve done
There will come a time when you can’t make it on your own
And in your hour of desperation
Know you’re not the only one, praying
Lord above, I need a miracle
I need a miracle
La la la la la la la
La la la la la la la
La la la la la la la
Whoa oh
La la la la la la la
La la la la la la la
La la la la la la la
Whoa oh
He turned on the radio to hear a song for the last time
He didn’t know what he was looking for even what he’d find
The song he heard gave him hope and strength to carry on
And on that night, they found a miracle
They found a miracle
La la la la la la la
La la la la la la la
La la la la la la la
Whoa oh
La la la la la la la
La la la la la la la
La la la la la la la
Whoa oh
In your hour of desperation
Know you’re not the only one, praying
Lord above, I need a miracle
I need a miracle
