Debuting Contemporary Christian artist Brandy Allison is rising up the Soft AC/Inspo charts in the United States with her debut single, My Hallelujah. The five-time American Talent Showcase winner is no stranger to heartache: she quit the entertainment industry to devote her time to her husband, Josh, only to lose him in a tragic motorcycle accident in 2010. Allison put her complete faith and trust in Christ, and two years later, she reaffirms her faith with the release of her Alert Entertainment national debut this year.
“Music is my therapy,” Brandy says, “and people need to know I’ve been through a lot, but have come out of the fire so strong in my faith. My goal is for the music to relate to people wherever they’re at, and even if they can’t relate to my situation, hopefully they’ll be able to be uplifted by the overall positive attitude.”
Artists like Brandy Allison and Heather Williams – who is absolutely brilliant, by the way – are able to sing with conviction because they know exactly what they’re singing about. Whereas Williams’ vocals are powerful and strong, Allison’s debut release features her sweet honeyish voice. My Hallelujah is doing well at Soft AC, and should finish in the Top 15 (or 10, depending on how open Soft AC is at this point in time).
MY HALLELUJAH Lyrics
Brandy Allison
Creator of my passion
Maker of my days
So many times that I forget
To notice all the ways
You make me so much better
Than I’ve ever been before
So I’ll sing it to the end of time
And then I’ll sing some more
CHORUS
My hallelujah
Hands to heaven
Every minute, every hour
I’m surrounded by Your power
Holy, Holy
My King forever
Your mercy is a gift I’ll never earn
And all that I can offer in return
Is my Hallelujah.
Your love remains unchanging
Your word, forever true
And it’s my greatest privilege to
Fall down and worship You
How wonderful to call You
My Father, and my Friend
Every morning when the sun comes up
I cry Your name again,
CHORUS
My hallelujah
Hands to heaven
Every minute, every hour
I’m surrounded by Your power
Holy, Holy
My King forever
Your mercy is a gift I’ll never earn
And all I have to offer in return
Is my hallelujah.
BRIDGE
The poor, the sick, the lost, the weak
There’s no one that You cannot reach
Deliverer of all good things,
I will forever sing
CHORUS
My hallelujah
Hands to heaven
Every minute, every hour
I’m Surrounded by Your power
Holy, Holy
My King forever
Your mercy is a gift I’ll never earn
And all I have to offer in return
And all I have to offer in return
Is my hallelujah.
