Contemporary Christian rock band Cloverton has the soaring End is the Beginning, the carrier single of its new EP of the same title, which dropped a few days ago across the United States. There is something majestic in the way End is the Beginning starts, with those haunting strings, and by the time the guitars kick in, well, it’s unlike few other Christian songs I’ve ever heard before. It’s readily singable, and Christian AC programmers would do well to add this to their playlists stat, because I think this is a superior single to Take Me To The Beautiful, the band’s breakthrough single, and thus far, their only crossover hit. I like End is the Beginning, I think it deserves more airplay than what it’s currently getting.
END IS THE BEGINNING Lyrics
Cloverton
So long, farewell
I wish you well
You gained the world and lost it all
Today is pain
To die is gain
And tomorrow Jericho will fall
And the end is the beginning
Where death makes way for living
It’s on You I’m depending
And it all begins in the end
Complexions of a Father’s love
Are veiled with shadows that you own
The ones you try to leave behind
Are deep inside your heart and in your bones
And the end is the beginning
Where death makes way for living
It’s on You I’m depending
And it all begins in the end
And the end is the beginning
Where death makes way for living
It’s on You I’m depending
And it all begins in the end
That’s where You and I begin
