Christian rapper KJ-52 (real name: Jonah Kirsten Sorrentino) has released Dangerous, the carrier single and title track of his new album, scheduled initially for March 27 but apparently pushed back for tentative release sometime in late April or early May. It is KJ-52’s fifth album with BEC Recordings, the Christian label now shopping Dangerous to Christian rock and urban formats. Musically, Dangerous isn’t quite as menacing as its title implies; as a matter of fact, KJ-52 kinda sounds a lot like an amalgam of Eminem meets tobyMac on this single, even singing the chorus as the latter is wont to do. All comparisons end there, though, and hopefully, Dangerous will speak to a wider audience that needs to hear the message of Dangerous.
(It’s coming, friends, I just need to type it out.)
