Debuting Contemporary Christian artist Adam Cappa has released his first single, The Rescue, on BEC Recordings. Labelmate Jeremy Camp says about this emerging young artist: “I’ve come across many amazing musicians in my life, but few are like Adam Cappa, who has a true passion for the Lord above anything else in his life and is extremely talented as well. I’m excited to see what the Lord has in store for this new artist.”
I can see where Camp is coming from. Cappa sounds strong and vibrant on his debut single, as he sings encouragingly about how God is capable to saving those drowning in their own despair. Cappa hung around several worship leaders at an early point in his life, despite music not being a particularly strong point in his life, but, well, Adam Cappa sounds amazing on The Rescue. Camp produced the song alongside Andy Dodd (producer of artists like Switchfoot and the Plain White T’s), and it sounds very, very accessible. Cappa tells the story of how The Rescue came about in this video. “I’ve been transformed because someone took the time to love me and show me the power of God in my life,” he says. “I want to share that same thing and see the same changes in others. I know what it means when someone takes the time.”
