Blessid Union of Souls has followed up its Top 50 Christian AC hit The Only Song with Pray For You, another brilliant track from its debut Christian release, The Mission Field. Eliot Sloan, who is more popularly recognized as his pop-rock alter-ego Blessid Union of Souls, is the man behind the 90s pop hits I Believe and Hey Leonardo (She Likes Me for Me). Pray For You brings Sloan back to his roots, and with its tinkling piano lines, soft string background, and passionate delivery about the earnestness with which a believer covers another in prayer in dire circumstances, doesn’t sound unlike I Believe, which bodes well for its chances.
