I haven’t been this excited for the Top Christian Songs chart in a while. Here’s the thing: While Tenth Avenue North’s You Are More stays atop the chart for a fourth week, and Casting Crown’s Glorious Day (Living You Loved Me) earns Greatest Gainer honors, an honor I accept with mixed emotions, for me, the big news is Mandisa’s Stronger‘s rising from #6 to #3. This makes Stronger the highest-ranking single by a solo female artist since Francesca Battistelli’s This is the Stuff. While that wasn’t so long ago, if Stronger goes to #1, it will be the first solo female singer’s single since Battistelli’s Free to Be Me in May 2009. Go go go Mandisa!
Jeremy Camp’s The Way is the highest debut of the week, entering the chart at #38. Chris Sligh’s One follows at #46, and Matthew West’s Strong Enough closes out the three debuts at #50. Greatest Gainer is Casting Crown’s Glorious Day (Living He Loved Me).
