Chris Tomlin, “I Lift My Hands”

Contemporary Christian superstar Chris Tomlin has released a new single from his And If Our God Is For Us CD; I Lift My Hands is now being serviced to Christian AC and Soft AC/Inspo, where it is now starting to build up steam towards what will undoubtedly be another Top 3 hit for the Christian journeyman. The runaway success of Our God notwithstanding, I personally felt I Will Follow was a melodically weak follow-up, but I Lift My Hands should get Tomlin back into the fray of things. A memorable chorus, simple instrumentation that should make I Lift My Hands an easy choice for worship teams across the world to replicate, and, of course, the virtually patented Tomlin delivery, should ensure that I Lift My Hands will become his next crossover hit.

I LIFT MY HANDS Lyrics
Chris Tomlin

Be still, there is a healer
His love is deeper than the sea
His mercy, it is unfailing
His arms are a fortress for the weak

Let faith arise
Let faith arise

I lift my hands to believe again
You are my refuge, You are my strength
As I pour out my heart, these things I remember
You are faithful, God, forever

Be still, there is a river
That flows from Calvary’s tree
A fountain for the thirsty

Pure grace that washes over me

So let faith arise
Let faith arise
Open my eyes
Open my eyes

I lift my hands to believe again
You are my refuge, You are my strength
As I pour out my heart, these things I remember
You are faithful, God
You are faithful, God, forever
