Nathan Tasker, “Something Beautiful”

Australian worship leader and artist Nathan Tasker is releasing his first album in over four years, and Home is a lovely comeback that welcomes the Christian journeyman with quite a bang. First single Something Beautiful topped the TRAA Christian chart for a couple of weeks, and from the looks of it, the United States is seriously ready to open its doors. The multi-awarded Tasker (2006 Artist of the Year and Song of the Year winner on the Australian Christian Music Charts) moved to Nashville to jumpstart his ministry in a bolder way, and the quality of the move shows in Something Beautiful, a joyful mid-tempo declaration of the many signs and wonders that God sends as proof and reminder of His existence and love for us. For Home, Tasker tapped producer-of-the-moment Ian Eskelin (Francesca Battistellli, Avalon), whose musical signature stamps itself confidently on Something Beautiful, giving Tasker’s voice its own space to shine. I love it.

SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL Lyrics
Nathan Tasker

I’m counting the stars
but the sky is overrun
You made a sea of endless lights
i would’ve been impressed by one

More than enough
Your Love shows no reserve
and just like the brilliant sky above
You give me more than I deserve

There’s no more looking down
My eyes are looking up now

I can see something beautiful
The sun is shining on my face
Every day is a brand new miracle
You keep giving grace upon grace

My heart was a desert
‘Til You opened up the sky
And down came a million drops of mercy
Now flowers multiply

I want to be consumed
I’ll never get enough of You

I can see something beautiful
The sun is shining on my face
Every day is a brand new miracle
You keep giving grace upon grace

Over & over & over again
Your faithfulness has no end

I can see something beautiful
The sun is shining on my face
Every day is a brand new miracle
You keep giving grace upon grace
