Contemporary Christian superstar Mandisa is releasing Stronger, the first single off her third studio CD, What If We Were Real, which drops all across the USA on April 5, 2011. Stronger will be released to Christian AC radio this Friday, January 7, although some street date violations have resulted in Stronger now showing up on Radio and Records’ airplay chart. (Jeff Cruz of ZRadio in Florida tweeted that they’re already spinning Stronger. (I can’t tell you how excited I am; I haven’t even heard Stronger‘s lyrics, yet, but you can be sure the lyrics will be encouraging! She’s so good at that!)
As more Christian radio stations pick up Mandisa’s single, I’m confident it’ll skyrocket up the charts. Both carrier singles of her two previous CDs (Only The World off True Beauty, and My Deliverer off Freedom) were top 10 hits, so I trust Mandisa’s Stronger will keep that sterling record going. I imagine iTunes availability should come within a couple of weeks. I’ll replace the Secret wallpaper with a Mandisa wallpaper as soon as new promotional photos are made available to the public.)
I don’t have a copy of Mandisa’s Stronger yet – I wanted to blast a frantic SMS to Sparrow’s marketing team (got the number from Mandisa herself), but it’s 9:40pm in the USA right now, and I don’t think they’d appreciate an international Christian music blogger sending them a text message that late at night – but rest assured that once I get a copy or it’s available for streaming on YouTube, that I will make it available. Mandisa’s What If We Were Real is bound to be a terrific CD, and I’m pretty confident that Stronger will be an amazing single. God has used Mandisa so powerfully since her debut in 2007, and I know we’re going to see even more amazing things from this phenomenal Christian singer. Go Mandisa! Go Stronger!
Update: I was able to use a radio stream of Stronger to get this low-fi version of Stronger, which I’m putting up here to meet the growing need of the Fandisas to hear Stronger. Once the track is available on YouTube, I’ll take this stream down. Please buy a copy of Stronger once the digital mp3 is available, okay? Go Mandisa!! We love you love you love you!!
