Juno Award-winning and Dove Award-nominated Canadian Christian rock band downhere has released its new EP, Two at a Time: Sneak Peeks and B-Sides, which features the new single You’re Not Alone. I remember hearing Hope is Rising and marveling at the glorious voice of Marc Martel and thinking to myself, “How is this band not getting more love at Christian AC?” Turns out Hope is Rising wasn’t the charting single over there, it was Here I Am. Ah well.
You’re Not Alone is breaking out at Soft AC/Inspo: fourth most-added spins, plus one added radio station. Given the limited number of radio stations in the USA now playing Soft AC/Inspo – since everyone seems to be in love with Justin Bieber – 23 additional spins is a lot, so I’m hoping that You’re Not Alone will pick up in the next few weeks. The piano lines and driving chorus make it an ideal pick-me-up for American Christians this summer. It looks like downhere has another hit in its hands.
