Ganns’ Top 10 – August 8 2010

Contemporary Christian pop-rock group The Afters score their first #1 hit on my personal chart with Light Up the Sky, which ascends to the top in its sixth frame. Last week’s leader, Beckah Shae’s Life, tumbles to fifth place. Two new debuts mark the charts this week: Contemporary Christian superstar Matthew West marks his comeback as My Own Little World enters at #8, but even more noteworthy is the #2 debut of Audrey Assad’s Restless. I was so struck by this heartrending worship ballad that I haven’t even had time to review it. But this song is beautiful! Couple that with For the Love of You, I think her debut CD, The House You’re Building may be a spectacular CD. Has anyone out there bought a copy? What do you think about it?
