Kutless’ Everything I Need is the Contemporary Christian rock band’s follow up to its #1 Christian single, What Faith Can Do. The second single from the band’s sixth CD, It Is Well, Everything I Need is an unabashed declaration of adoration, faith, and trust in a God Who provides. Jon Sumrall has never sounded more sincere in his worship, and the strings – are those synthetic, or was there a live string section? Gotta pick up the CD to find out, I guess – are gorgeous. Who says lyrics always have to be ridiculously deep and introspective? I love this bridge! When I talk to God, I don’t use a ton of similes and metaphors! I don’t make my prayers alliterative! Just straight and simple, from the heart, and I know God appreciates a sincere prayer more than one bursting with lyrical bravado. Everything I Need is a living, breathing prayer set to musical format, and we the body are blessed that radio is now playing this gem of a song.
