These are the ten best Christian songs, in terms of chart performance and radio airplay, in the United States as of May 8, 2010, according to Billboard.com. It’s the third week in a row for MercyMe’s All of Creation. It’s noteworthy that with this #1, MercyMe scored its ninth #1, breaking Bart Millard and the other boys of MercyMe out of a tie with Casting Crowns for most #1 songs on Billboard’s Christian Songs chart, with eight apiece. I wouldn’t settle on my laurels, though, because Casting Crowns’ new single, If We’ve Ever Needed You, scores the chart’s Greatest Gainer, zipping up a speedy seven notches from 27 to 20.
Leeland scores this week’s top debut, as its new single New Creation debuts at #43. Addison Road debuts just a notch below Leeland with Fight Another Day; the chart’s last debut for the week is Manic Drive with Walls. Beckah Shae re-enters the chart, too, at #47, with Here in This Moment.

New Christian Single Recommendation: Show My Love, Ashmont Hill. Christian vocal group Ashmont Hill, responsible for Christian Inspo Top 10 hit Song of Glory, has finished work on its new CD, Our Masterpiece. The new single is called Show My Love, it impacts radio this week, and it is great. More praise and worship than Contemporary Christian music per se, so I assure you it’ll please you. Please give it a listen or call your local radio stations and request it.
