Jamie Slocum, “You Are The Reason”

Contemporary Christian country singer Jamie Slocum, whose single Dependence was a massive hit on the Soft AC/Inspo charts a few years back, has released You Are the Reason off Curb Records to Christian AC and Christian Country radio. Co-written by Jason Scheff, lead singer and bass player of seminal pop-rock group Chicago, You Are the Reason is a radio-friendly ballad with rich harmonies and an easily accessible melody.

YOU ARE THE REASON Lyrics
Jamie Slocum

I’ve finally made it through
Lord, I owe it all to You
For the first time in my life, I feel okay

The past is far behind
Nothing left weighing on my mind
And I’m just glad to know that You have found me

You are the reason I’m still here
Anybody else would’ve left me long ago
And when the pain became too much
You fixed what was broken

You reached into my heart before the last piece broke apart
And somehow You have put me together
Now every time I lose my way
You’re always there to save the day

You are the reason I’m still here
Anybody else would’ve left me long ago
And when the pain became too much
You fixed what was broken

Oh what a wonderful God You are
You make all things brand new
Lord, I depend on You

You are the reason I’m still here
Anybody else would’ve left me long ago
And when the pain became too much
You are the reason I’m still here
Anybody else would’ve left me long ago
And when the pain became too much
You fixed what was broken
