Meredith Andrews, “Not For A Moment (After All)”

Meredith Andrews, “Not For A Moment (After All)”

Contemporary Christian singer/songwriter Meredith Andrews’ new single, Not For a Moment (After All) has been released to radio, and the powerful declaration of faith has been accepted by Christian AC in a big way. This week, it scores the highest number of new radio adds and spins, which bodes well, because Andrews’ new single arrives at one of the most competitive seasons in recent Christian AC radio history. With comebacks by artists like tobyMac, Mark Schultz, Matthew West, Chris August, and Brandon Heath, the reaction to Andrews’ new single bodes well for her future radio fortunes.

It helps that Meredith Andrews’ Not For a Moment (After All) is actually a great song. I love how strongly the song declares a faithfulness in God and His provision and omnipresence. Easily singable and readily accessible, I predict a Top 15 finish for Andrews, potentially Top 10 (which should be nice, considering the Dove Award winner has yet to score a Top 10 single on Christian AC). The lead single off Worth It All, Andrews’ first full-length release since 2010, scheduled to drop across the United States in compact disc and digital formats on January 22, 2013. Andrews is set tour on The Vertical Church Tour this fall.

NOT FOR A MOMENT (AFTER ALL) Lyrics
Meredith Andrews

You were reaching through the storm
Walking on the water
Even when I could not see

In the middle of it all
When I thought You were a thousand miles away
Not for a moment did You forsake me
Not for a moment did You forsake me

After all You are constant
After all You are only good
After all You are sovereign
Not for a moment will You forsake me
Not for a moment will You forsake me

You were singing in the dark
Whispering Your promise
Even when I could not hear

I was held in Your arms
Carried for a thousand miles to show
Not for a moment will You forsake me
Not for a moment will You forsake me

After all You are constant
After all You are only good
After all You are sovereign
Not for a moment will You forsake me
Not for a moment will You forsake me

Every step, every breath, You are there
Every tear, every cry, every prayer
In my hurt, at my worst, when my world falls down
Not for a moment will You forsake me

Even in the dark
Even when it’s hard
You will never leave me

After all
After all You are constant
After all You are only good
After all You are sovereign
Not for a moment will You forsake me
Not for a moment will You forsake me
