B. Reith, “Simple Days”

Contemporary Christian singer/rapper B. Reith, who has come up with some of the cleverest pop-rock songs of the past two years – including the tracks Go On, Awestruck, and The Comeback Kid, has released Simple Days, the carrier track of the new mixtape, How the Story Continues, out June 29. This is the follow-up to Reith’s sophomore release, How the Story Ends.

As a child of the 80s, I can appreciate many of the throwbacks that Reith pops into the Simple Days lyrics, with references to everyone from Luther Vandross to the Jacksons. The old-school vibe permeates even the style of the song, with simple bass lines and the rather dramatically old drum beat, but the classic elements only underscore the freshness of the entire production. I’ve enjoyed every release Reith has ever given us, and I am giddy because of the fact that Simple Days is free.

What??
