Contemporary Christian praise and worship leader Israel Houghton is releasing his first live recording in five years! Jesus At The Center, featuring Houghton and the vocal ensemble New Breed, features the carrier Christian AC single Your Presence is Heaven, co-written by Michael Massey and produced by Ed Cash, whose magnificent work with Chris Tomlin, Jimmy Needham, and Britt Nicole, is just stunning.
While Houghton’s last two releases have won both critical and commercial acclaim, his return to his praise and worship roots is highly anticipated; not since 2007′s A Deeper Level have we had a full live recording from Houghton and New Breed, and we are excited! Recorded at Lakewood Church, Jesus At The Center also features the title track, a new recording of which was featured on Houghton’s last studio release, the double-disc Decade greatest hits collection.
Your Presence is Heaven To Me (the title on CCLI says it’s Your Presence is Heaven To Me, but Integrity’s press releases do not include the “To Me” section) is one of several songs on Jesus at the Center penned by Houghton. Only To Make You Feel My Love, an original by folk singer Bob Dylan, and You Have Me, written by fellow worship leader Michael Gungor, are songs not penned by the legendary singer and songwriter Houghton.
Jesus At The Center, when it drops, will also feature a companion HD-DVD, which contains all 17 songs along with behind the scenes footage and other bonus material. Houghton will also release Jesus At The Center as an exclusive iTunes® LP, which will also include various interactive capabilities, including the video Work Tapes, a Photo Montage and the “Jesus At The Center” video tutorial.
