Matt Redman, “10,000 Reasons”

Contemporary Christian singer/songwriter Matt Redman released 10,000 Reasons, his latest album in 2011, but it’s only now that the title track is starting to pick up at Christian AC, an accomplishment considering that the live performance of the song is the version receiving notice from Christian AC programmers. 10,000 Reasons is a worshipful ballad that sings of God’s goodness and grace. The way Redman structured the track is almost hymn-like – the Catholics will really enjoy adding this one to their Mass repertoire – and its congregational worship potential makes it a ready and easy, almost automatic, addition to any church’s worship arsenal. Whether stadium or small church, I think 10,000 Reasons will do well in a church setting, and should actually be a serious consideration, because 10,000 Reasons is special. More people should be hearing 10,000 Reasons.
