Contemporary Christian singer-songwriter Matt Redman has come a long way since Heart of Worship. The now-classic worship track is still in use in churches all over the world, a humbling thing for any Christian songwriter. Never once to rest on his God-given laurels, though, Redman has returned with 10,000 Reasons, another fine collection of worship tracks guaranteed to make an impact on the universal church. The carrier single, Never Once, is already rising up the Radio and Records chart (it’s #16 with a bullet this week), and I can see why: an easily singable verse, a soaring, majestic chorus, and encouraging lyrics that just glorify the Name above all Names. I can totally see Never Once becoming another classic in the ever-growing, ever-relevant Redman catalog.
