Win an Alarice CD!

Have you heard Sunday Afternoon? If not, you’re missing out on some of the most pleasant acoustic pop since Colbie Caillat. Sunday Afternoon is the new single from Alarice, an up-and-coming singer born in New Zealand to Singaporean parents. With Asian roots, an Australian upbringing, and the ability to sing and write songs of universal interest and flavour, Alarice (pronounced ‘a-la-reese’) creates the kind of breezy acoustic pop with pinch of folk and a Country influence. Her effortless vocals have been likened to that of songstress Brooke Fraser and having the songwriting maturity of Jewel, Corrinne May, and Taylor Swift. Her song Colour was selected one of the Top 10 songs in the GMA (Gospel Music Association)’s Immerse Conference’s songwriting competition. I’ve listened to the album and readily, easily recommend Part the Sea and Midnight Train, two tracks that would easily do well on Contemporary Christian or secular radio.
