Shane Barnard and Shane Everett, collectively known as Contemporary Christian duo Shane and Shane, have come up with the brilliant The One You Need, an absolutely moving ballad that speaks to women everywhere to put their trust in Someone who will never never let them down: Jesus Christ. The One You Need is written from the perspective of a father telling his daughter about how much he loves her, but that at the end of the day, Jesus will be the one who will ultimately provide her everything she needs. As a father of a three-year-old girl, I can totally relate to this, and I imagine fathers and daughters everywhere will be blessed by The One You Need, which is almost tailor-made to become a staple at weddings and 18th birthdays everywhere. Shane and Shane, you’ve hit this one out of the ballpark. Kudos on a brilliant song.
