MIKESCHAIR, “Someone Worth Dying For”

MIKESCHAIR, “Someone Worth Dying For”

Contemporary Christian band Mikeschair has had a fantastic year. After the chart success of Can’t Take Away and Keep Changing the World, the Curb Records artists release Someone Worth Dying For is MIKESCHAIR’s most radio-friendly single to date. Set to drop on iTunes on May 3 – that’s just four days away! – Someone Worth Dying For is already picking up at Christian AC radio, being the second most-added new single and one of the ten most increased in terms of spins.

Personally, I feel Someone Worth Dying For is one of the best, if not the best, single released by MIKESCHAIR to date. Take the live video I’ve embedded to see the heartfelt performance delivered by the band. Smooth vocals, a single violin, the poignant piano lines… this is going to be another terrific single, I promise. Please get a copy of Someone Worth Dying For off iTunes, you won’t be sorry.

SOMEONE WORTH DYING FOR Lyrics
Mikeschair

You might be the wife, waiting up at night
You might be the man, struggling to provide
Feeling like it’s hopeless
And maybe you’re the son, who chose a broken road
Maybe you’re the girl, thinking you’ll end up alone
Praying God can you hear me?
Oh God are you listening?

Am I more than Flesh and bone?
Am I really something beautiful
And I wanna believe, I wanna believe
I’m not just a wandering soul
That you don’t see it and you don’t know
And I wanna believe, Jesus help me believe that I
Am someone worth dying for

I know you found the truth that God has send you free
If you think you’re the one that grace will never reach
So you just keep asking, oh what everybody’s asking

Am I more than flesh and bone?
Am I really something beautiful?
And I wanna believe, I wanna believe
I’m not just a wandering soul
As you don’t see it and you don’t know
And I wanna believe, Jesus help me believe that I
Am someone worth dying for

You’re worth it
You can’t earn it
That the cross has proven
That you’re sacred and blameless
Your life has purpose

And you are more than flesh and bone
Can’t you see you’re something beautiful
Yes you gotta believe
You gotta believe
He wants you to see
He wants you to see
That’s you’re not just some wandering soul
That can’t be seen and can’t be known
Cause you gotta believe
You gotta believe that you are
Someone worth dying for, oho
You’re someone worth dying for, oho
You’re someone worth dying for
