The sorry state of ‘Pinoy Idol’
I discovered this Pinoy Idol blog through Tita Noemi, and was taken aback to see that GMA-7 has apparently dropped the ball with Philippine Idol. This is such a shame! I thought it’d do better on Channel 7, considering the Kapusos have more money than ABC-5 to put into its production, but it appears that isn’t the case.
Now the question remains: is it worth it to invest time and effort into supporting a show that doesn’t hold a candle to the previous incarnation, which was, in itself, left much of the Idol franchise to be desired?
I’ll bet the folks at Channel 5 are laughing their butts off right now.

hmm…
pangit ba talaga?
pwede pa nila i-revamp ang format nyan
raft3r po, proud to be kapuso
nyahaha
I agree with u completely, GMA’s pinoy idol seems to be in a hopeless state already because none of the contestants stand out and the judges seem to all have hearing disabilities. the sound on the show is so bad its bordering on karaoke and the editing and lighting are excruciating to say the least. I watched ABC’s Philippine Idol a couple of years ago and eventhough it didn’t live up to the AI standard everybody put it up to… the show actually had some contestants that stood out and it had great entertainment value. The host before (pareng Ryan Agoncillo) was much much much much much much muuuuuuuuuuch better than the current excuse for a host that is Raymond Gutierrez. And the judges this time are trying too hard yet they’re not even right. Gosh, even ABS-CBN’s The Singing Bee is a lot more interesting by a mile. ABC5 clearly put a lot of effort into their idol show compared to what GMA is doing to its own version. nakakapanghinayang talaga… tsk tsk tsk. They should just cancel the show now and nobody would even care. Ibalik nalang kaya nila sa ABC.
