Ganns goes girly-girl pink, gets shot, goes deep, & resurfaces shiny

image047.jpgPink looks good on me, don’t you agree?

October has been declared Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Since my breasts are bigger than some other women I know, I decided to do my part and link up specifically to PinkForOctober.org, which encourages male and female bloggers to “pinkify” their blog skin to raise awareness for breast cancer. (Click on the banner to learn more about PinkForOctober.org’s initiatives.)

I have no problem with pink. I love pink. It’s so Pepto-Bismol.

Blog silence for Joseph Michael Racoma & the citizens of Burma

I join a number of Filipino bloggers in reverent blog silence on www.GannsDeen.com for the passing of Joseph Michael Racoma, the beautiful one-month-old son of fellow Filipino blogger J. Angelo Racoma. I will also take this time in prayer for the citizens of Burma.

Blogging resumes October 10, 2007.

Psalm 71:20-21
Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. You will increase my honor and comfort me once again.

Listen to Elliott Yamin’s “One Word”

oneword.jpg(For your listening pleasure, this blog post contains a stream of One Word by American Idol Season Five finalist Elliott Yamin, off his debut album Elliott Yamin. GannsDeen.com does not offer Elliott Yamin mp3’s for download. If you like what you hear, please leave a comment in the Comments box. Come back to GannsDeen.com for the latest and best in Christian, country, and pop music.)

I promise this will be the last Elliott Yamin-themed entry on GannsDeen.com for a long time. As a fitting conclusion to week-long coverage of Yamin’s Philippine tour, we are uploading Yamin’s new American single, One Word, for your consideration.

One Word is a slow-to-midtempo ballad much in the same vein of Yamin’s surprise hit, Wait For You. When Yamin tested One Word during his Philippine tour, it received quite a positive response, which could bode well for Yamin’s nationwide push when the single is officially released for airplay on October 16.
