Thank you for your note on my website.

As a family, we don’t celebrate Halloween. We’ve explained to our son, Nathan, that the party they were holding at his school was in celebration of an event we do not, in principle, support. His school is not a Christian school, but we allow him to participate in the event in the interest of solidarity with his classmates and the knowledge that he understands that glorification of anything other than Christ is not an option.

Regarding costumes, the owners of Bumblebee make costumes year-round, especially for theater productions and children’s parties. The post I placed online was really just to help them out, because their work – regardless of Halloween – is really spectacular in the first place.

I can assure you we do not celebrate Halloween and are not raising our children to believe in it.
