Getting to Know Each Other
I was so inspired by the fresh slant of Toni’s Getting to Know You meme because it allows your (blog) friends to pose a challenge to you. She’s been having so much fun fulfilling those challenges that I figure I’d like to give that a shot. So here’s how it works:
First, using the Comments section:
1. Write something random about me.
2. Challenge me to try something.
3. Pick a color that you associate with me.
4. Write something you like about me.
5. Share your first/clearest memory of me.
6. Tell me what animal I remind you of.
And then, also using the Comments section:
1. I’ll respond with something random about you.
2. I’ll challenge you to try something.
3. I’ll pick a color that I associate with you.
4. I’ll tell you something I like about you.
5. I’ll tell you my first/clearest memory of you.
6. I’ll tell you what animal you remind me of.
An addendum, though: while the operative phrase is ‘try to answer all your challenges,’ I request all y’all not to pose challenges that go against my faith or are harmful to me or my family. Okay? I’ll post my replies in the comments section as well.

Alright! You won’t regret this Ganns. I’ve been having a lot of fun with these challenges!
1. You’re a fast talker.
2. I challenge you to learn a magic trick, do it for Cathy and Nathan, then write about it.
3. Green. Because of La Salle.
4. I like that you’re an optimist.
5. You walking down Quad 2 in your checkered shirt, baggy jeans, walkman on your belt and earphones. You were probably listening to Wilson Phillips.
6. You remind me of a polar bear. Big and warm but you can also be fierce if you want to.
Bring it on, Wifely! Bring it ON!
1. You love to cook - and are open to all kinds of recipes, apparently.
2. I challenge you to get a different color of eyeshadow from what you normally wear and take a photo of you wearing it at work! Hahaha!
3. Yellow, because you’re so sunny.
4. [I've told you this] I like your sense of child-like wonder!
5. Laughing under the trees in front of Food For Thought while filling out a survey in one of the logbooks.
6. You remind me of a hummingbird - all abuzz and blessing the flowers.
Ha! I don’t wear eyeshadow at all. Heehee. So I guess it’s time to buy myself some! This will be good.
Oooh I love your answers. And a hummingbird! I’ve never been compared to one before. Sweet!
Haha this is interesting. :p Let’s see.
1. You have a Calvin and Hobbes tattoo.
I still remember that! (I am right…right? Haha)
(You don’t have to buy ha, just pick a book and CD :D)
2. I challenge you to go to Shepherd’s Staff at Greenbelt, pick a book that you might want to read, pick a CD that you might want to listen to and then on your way out, pick up one of those little messages on their little chest by the door and blog about all three.
3. Blue. It just popped up. Haha.
4. You are so encouraging to your friends and you never fail to make them smile with your sincere compliments (I should know, I’ve been on the receiving end a couple of times :D).
5. Meeting up with ou at McDo Taft to give me the Avalon CD. And all those Live the Life meetings. :))
6. Hmmm…a big Saint Bernard. Warm and always gives out love.
Okay, Tina!
Thanks for those comments (especially 4 and 6 - huhuhu! Touched ako)!
1. You are now a member of Singles for Christ, having been forcibly ejected from Youth for Christ. LOL
2 Tim 1:7 (”For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.”)
2. Right back atcha: I challenge you to blog about the first time you shared the Good News of Jesus Christ with someone and s/he accepted Him into her/his life. If there hasn’t been one, then I challenge you to do it.
3. Green. It’s so Lasallian. Hahaha!
4. You are an honest, sincere blogger with a heart that goes out to others; in a dark world that is cynical and mistrusting, you are a light that shines for Jesus. Eph 5:8b (”Now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.”)
5. Looking at me strangely as I gave you the Avalon CD. Hahahaha!
6. You remind me of a rabbit: cute and cuddly, and come on, who can resist rabbits?
Hey! Between you and Toni, that’s two people who said I remind them of big animals. I renounce my size in the name of Jesus! LOL
[...] [Note: See related post!] And here’s my very first challenge from Mr. Ganns Deen.
I challenge you to blog about the first time you shared the Good News of Jesus Christ with someone and s/he accepted Him into her/his life. [...]
